It drifts tighter while you watch
Banning the motion is weak. Pinning the destination works.
Even from a correctly framed start image, image-to-video drifts tighter across the clip. You start waist-up and end on a face. If you've carefully solved framing in chapter 3, this quietly undoes it in the last two seconds.
The obvious fix is to ban the motion — "no zoom", "static camera". It's a weak instruction and it half-works at best.
Pin the end state instead
Finish the prompt with an explicit destination: "End: finish with the same framing and camera position." Constrain where it lands, not how it moves. Models follow destinations much more reliably than they follow prohibitions on movement.
This generalises. Across a lot of prompt debugging, describing the required end condition beats forbidding the unwanted process. If something is drifting, specify where it has to arrive.
Takeaway
